The EGSA Competitive Soccer Program is for competitive players in age groups under 8 to under 19 years old. EGSA competitive teams play other town and club teams throughout the state, in a competitive, positive and rewarding environment.
The competitive schedule is divided into three seasons:
- Fall (Sept - Nov), outdoor RI travel league (U10 - U19)
- Winter (Oct - Apr), indoor (U7 - U19) at one of the following locations:
- Spring (Apr - Jun)
- Super Liga (U10 - U19), outdoor RI travel league
Note: Currently there is no competitive program for U6 and no spring or fall competitive program for U8. EGSA offers Recreational Soccer for these age groups.
Soccer Tryouts
Tryouts are held annually to select A, B and C teams to represent EGSA in the various competitive leagues. Prior soccer experience and good soccer skills are required to be selected for a competitive team. For new players, the Recreational Soccer is a great place to acquire the skills necessary to be selected for one of these teams.
Tryouts for EGSA 2012/2013 soccer will be held in late spring/early summer. U8 tryouts will likely be in the Fall.
