Note: Currently there is no competitive program for U6 and no spring or fall competitive for U8. EGSA offers Recreational Soccer for U8 in the spring and for U6 and U8 in fall (tryouts are not required for the recreational program).

Fall teams are outdoor travel teams and play throughout RI. The game days will vary depending on age group, gender and the division that they play in.

Winter indoor teams typically play at the Teamworks Facility on Jefferson Blvd. in Warwick, RI, but have also played at the Wide World of Indoor Sports in North Smithfield, RI or at Sherwood Ultra Sports in Fall River, MA. The first indoor session runs from the end of October through early January and the second session runs from January through early April. The game days will vary depending on age group, gender and the division that they play in.

Spring competitive teams play in the Rhode Island Youth Super Liga, which is an outdoor RI travel league (no out-of-state travel). Spring season games are played from the beginning of April through early June. The game days will vary depending on age group, gender and the division that they play in.

 Competitive Soccer Tryouts 

Tryouts are held annually to select A, B and C teams to represent EGSA in the various competitive leagues. Prior soccer experience and good soccer skills are required to be selected for a competitive team. For new players, the EGSA Recreational Soccer Program is a great place to acquire the skills necessary to be selected for one of these teams.
