EGSA is proud to announce that three of our Fall Superliga teams have been awarded the Sportsmanship Award for their Age Group and Division for the Fall 2009 season. This honor is awarded to teams in each division that best exemplify sportsmanship in their games over the course of the season.

Examples of great sportsmanship could include some of the following: playing with fewer players when your opponent is short players in order to make the game even; supporting the referee's even when calls go against your team, knowing that most referee's are also young and learning; helping an opponent up or checking to see if they are OK after an injury.

All of these actions show that your team and organization value sportsmanship and respect the game and your opponent. Each coach, player, and parent should be very proud that your team has being selected for this award.
